method

Console.write

...data: string | ArrayBuffer | ArrayBufferView<ArrayBufferLike>[]
): number | Promise<number>;

Write text or bytes to stdout

Unlike console.log, this does no formatting and doesn't add a newline or spaces between arguments. You can pass it strings or bytes or any combination of the two.

Not available in browsers.

console.write("hello world!", "\n"); // "hello world!\n"

When stdout cannot take the data right away (a pipe whose reader is slow), the data is buffered and a Promise is returned instead of a number. Await it to wait until the data has been written; it rejects if the write fails, for example with EPIPE when the reader has closed the pipe.

await console.write(largeOutput);
@param data

The data to write

@returns

The number of bytes written, or a Promise of it when stdout is backed up

class ArrayBuffer

Represents a raw buffer of binary data, which is used to store data for the different typed arrays. ArrayBuffers cannot be read from or written to directly, but can be passed to a typed array or DataView Object to interpret the raw buffer as needed.

  • readonly [Symbol.toStringTag]: string
  • readonly byteLength: number

    Read-only. The length of the ArrayBuffer (in bytes).

  • newByteLength?: number

    byteLength: number

    Resize an ArrayBuffer in-place.

  • begin: number,
    end?: number

    Returns a section of an ArrayBuffer.

  • newByteLength?: number

    Creates a new ArrayBuffer with the same byte content as this buffer, then detaches this buffer.
